The final return on our proposal is that
we are funded at about the current rate
for six months only.  Hand/eye was cut
on account of continued emphasis on
automation as an application goal.  Natural
language was cut to the bone on account
of continued vagueness.  I hear this as
Lick saying something to us, and I am
listening.  I had made an effort to respond
to his initial feedback about ARPA not
having a program in automation.  Now, I
see it is obvious that I must take another
tack entirely.
